CORRIE killer Joel Deering looks set to be rumbled as Lauren Bolton turns up alive in Weatherfield.
The mystery surrounding her whereabouts has plagued Coronation Street viewers for months with the teen being presumed dead following a brutal attack.
For weeks, fans of the ITV soap opera had no clue just how made Lauren disappear but a horror flashback confirmed that slimy Joel had beaten her, supposedly to death, with a chair leg amid a secret connection between the pair.
Joel’s sinister side has since come to the forefront with an infatuation with younger girls prominent after being seen controlling another vulnerable teen sex worker, Ellie.
He has also had run-ins with Betsey Swain after she pressured him for money in return for her silence that he had struck up a conversation with another teen girl, Sabrina, in the hopes of something more.
Joel’s closest family and friends have no clue about his sinister ways but he will be left panicking when it is confirmed that Lauren is alive and that fellow Street resident Bethany Platt is close to locating her.
In upcoming scenes, Joel will aim to provide a friendly helping-hand to Bethany but his motive is much darker as it will lead him to Lauren’s whereabouts before anyone else.
With Bethany convinced that Lauren could be the girl using her stolen credit card, she and Joel decide to sit and sort though a number of bank statements in a bid to track the location of the activity on the card.
Bethany had already begun to think it could be Lauren after CCTV images showed a girl visiting a pizza place in Liecester wearing the same jacket as a blonde-haired girl seen on hospital CCTV visiting Roy Cropper amid his ailing health.
As Bethany and Joel continue to go through the statements, he receives another text from Betsey demanding even more cash.
In a bid to hush her, he explains that he has to go to work but in reality he seeks to confront Betsey.
With Joel gone, Bethany thinks she has a lead when she notices Warrington as a location where the card has been used.
With ticket transactions in the town, she begins going around all the local soup kitchens where it is confirmed that Lauren is in Warrington.
A member of one of the soup kitchen’s informs Bethany that Lauren is squatting in an unused pub.
Dee-Dee finds out and heading off with Bethany to the pub, she excitedly calls Joel to give him the update.
This leaves the slimy solicitor fearful that Lauren will soon spill all.
Will Joel be able to get to Lauren before Dee-Dee and Bethany or will the truth about his ways finally be exposed?
