BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is offering a subscription for its popular line of desserts, the Pizookie.
The Pizookie Pass is an occasional promotion put on by the Huntington Beach chain for a limited number of people who sign up first. This time around it costs $4.99 a month plus tax and lasts four months. It entitles subscribers to a Pizookie a day during the prescription period.
The pass is available for dine-in only, but the enrollment period begins online at 10:01 a.m. Thursday, June 27 and runs through 11:59 p.m. on July 3, according to the chain’s terms and conditions. After that, dine-in guests can enroll if any passes are still available July 4-24.
Pizookies cost around $8.75-$9.25 each, according to a spot check of Southern California restaurants, so a pass who pay for itself in one visit a month. But BJ’s also does $5 Pizookie Tuesdays.
Pizookies are cookies heated in individual pans and served soft and warm with ice cream. There are currently eight favors, including a new one, the New Graham Cracker S’mores Pizookie. It’s topped with toasted marshmallows as well as crackers and will be available for a limited time.
A neighboring casual restaurant chain, Costa Mesa-based Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, recently launched its own $5-a-month subscription, Campfire Club, which offers up to $15 in benefits a month.
In the fast food world, offers are multiplying like tribbles as Southern California awaits McDonald’s $5 Meal Deal, which launches Tuesday, June 25 for a limited time.
