PRIMARK used to be the place to go for discount children’s clothes.
But now one mumfluencer has explained that there’s a different budget shop she goes to when she needs to stock up on new bits for her kids.
Freya Harvey hit Poundland with sister Eden to have a look at some of the kids’ clothes on offer[/caption] This ‘Cool girl’ T-shirt was one of the things she loved the most[/caption]Freya Harvey took to her TikTok page to share a look at a recent trip to Poundland with sister Eden, as she said: “I want to show you this stuff in Poundland for kids, guys.
“It’s unreal!”
She then started showing some of her favourite items in the store, including a ‘Cool girl’ printed T-shirt, an Aristocats jacket and a Lion King T-shirt.
“This top, these jeans… honestly, I prefer it to Primark!” Freya added.
Once she’d looked at the girls clothes on offer, she headed over to the boys’ section, as she said: “I guarantee it’s not as good, but we will try.”
She was initially underwhelmed by the boys’ bits on offer, but then found a section of beige, brown and green clothes she “absolutely loved”.
“The women’s clothes are really nice as well,” she noted.
Sharing the video on TikTok, Freya captioned it: “Poundland kids clothes will always be my fave!”
And the comments section was almost immediately filled with people who agreed with Freya’s assessment.
“I love Poundland clothes for my little girl!!” one wrote.
“Agree they’re 100 per cent better than Primark!”
“Love Poundland for the kids,” another added.
“Loveee pep&co for clothes,” a third said.
“I agree much nicer than Primark and for price too!”
“Soo cheap as well,” someone else said.
“Perfect for when they’re only in them for 5 minutes.”
Holly Laing, 22, from Northampton, has revealed she used to work in Poundland and often heard customers say the same annoying thing.
Holly claimed she worked for Poundland in 2015 for three months as a Christmas temp.
She said that customers would get annoyed when products cost more than £1 individually.
In a comical video, Holly acted out a scenario that often occurred on her shift at the bargain store, where customers were always baffled and irritated that items could cost over £1.
Holly uploaded her video with the caption “I heard this a lot” as she said: “POV: Not everything’s £1 in Poundland”.
Holly explained that customers would often say to her: “But this is the pound shop, is it not?”
“That’s very misleading, I’ll only pay for that if it’s a pound.”
“Pep and co are fabby – low cost and it’s always on point,” another added.
“I’ve just brought the green set today for my little girl, it’s beautiful,” someone else commented.
“I bought the pink Lion King top then other day, the quality is so nice for £2.50,” another revealed.
As someone else insisted a Scooby Doo denim jacket they’d got from Poundland for their son was the “cutest thing ever”.
And others revealed another thing they love about Poundland’s kids’ clothes is how well they wash too.
“Pep&co are honestly fab!” one wrote.
“They wash well too, I love shopping in there for myself, my husband and all 5 kids!!”
“So much better than Primark, and wash far better,” another added.
“I find they wash pretty good too,” a third commented.
“My son’s got some cargos from there, my favourite on him.”
