Everything stopped when we heard the horrifying news that Bronny James had suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at USC back in July.
Eventually, we learned that James would be OK. But that didn’t make things any less unsettling. For such a young man to go through such a traumatic experience is never news that anyone wants to hear.
We’ve got some far better news today, though. James has been cleared to return to play basketball again, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
James will return to practice with the team next week and then, shortly after, be available to play in games for USC.

The James family put out a statement to go along with the news.
“The James family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible medical team, the entire USC community, and especially the countless friends, family and fans for their love and support. Fight On!”
This is such fantastic news, man. Folks from around the NBA world were thrilled to hear this.
