UNION CITY — A 25-year-old man was hospitalized after an injury shooting early Sunday, authorities said.
In a statement Sunday afternoon, police said officers responded just after 6:30 a.m. to the 4200 block of Lunar Way for a shooting report.
When officers arrived, they found the man suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police called the shooting an isolated incident, adding that they believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.
It is the second shooting in the city since an injury shooting around 1:20 a.m. Thursday in the 35500 block of Seventh Street. Officers who responded to that shooting found a 37-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
