LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. (AP) _ Itron Inc. (ITRI) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $4.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Liberty Lake, Washington-based company said it had profit of 9 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 23 cents per share.
The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 23 cents per share.
The energy and water meter company posted revenue of $420.9 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $459.7 million.
For the current quarter ending in December, Itron said it expects revenue in the range of $420 million to $460 million. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $497.7 million.
