OAKLAND — Three people shot in separate incidents in East and West Oakland neighborhoods Sunday were hospitalized, authorities said.
In a statement, police said officers responded around 10:45 a.m. to the 800 block of Fifth Avenue near a transit agency maintenance yard.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his thirties suffering from three gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators did not share details about what led up to the shooting, or any related suspect or vehicle description.
Just after 7:30 p.m., police responded to the 3100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way for a report of a possible shooting. When officers arrived, they found a person suffering from gunshot wounds to their torso and a limb. Officers provided care until first responders arrived to take them to a hospital, where they were later listed in critical but stable condition.
A little after 8 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 3900 block of San Juan Street, and arrived to find a person suffering from at least one gunshot wound. That person was taken to a hospital, where their condition was not immediately available late Sunday.
