A GENDER equality logo used by the Aussie government has been axed after its design was mocked for resembling a PENIS.
PM Scott Morrison’s organization the Women’s Network unveiled its new emblem this week – but it has been relentlessly ridiculed for its undeniable likeness to a phallus.

Its questionable form has become an international topic of conversation after people were left baffled as to how it made the cut.
Mr Morrison’s redfaced women’s department have since ditched the lewd logo, while insisting the motif had been “consulted on widely”.
A spokesman claimed the creation favoured an x-rated outline to “establish a consistent look and feel” with the network’s former logos.
He continued: “The rebrand was completed internally, using existing resources, and designs were consulted on widely.
“No external providers were engaged for this work.
“The logo has been removed from the department’s website, pending consultation with staff.”
Neither the prime minister nor his office were involved in the design process, the spokesman added.
The global ribbing proved too much for the risqué symbol, while women’s rights group slammed the “sexist” logo.
Women’s Network Australia – one of the country’s largest organisations supporting women in business – had urged the government to remove it.
CEO Cheryl Gray said: “While it was encouraging to see the prime minister’s department considering equal opportunity as an issue, the choice of logo and name was unfortunate and should be removed.”
The Older Women’s Network of Australia echoed their complaints, branding it “thoughtless”.
They wrote in a tweet: “I thought this was satire, but it is either thoughtless or an insult.
“Public money was spent getting a graphic artist, choosing the designing, selecting colours, approving, printing and publishing this logo for the Prime Minister’s and Cabinet’s Women’s Network.”
It also caused mayhem on social media, with some users suggested it also resembled a pair of breasts – or a tampon.
Others speculated the ill-favoured choice of the colour purple was a direct insinuation of someone’s manhood, as it is identical to the tone of the eggplant emoji.
One user wrote: “I am a graphic designer and this is the worst logo i’ve ever seen.”
Another added: “‘I’m honestly at a point where I don’t know if they are just so incredibly stupid or if they are doing it intentionally because they are just so misogynistic.”

And a third chimed in: “One of my staff rang to tell me they had really f***ed up. He started by saying, ‘it’s not women’s network logo bad’.
“We have a new benchmark.”
