A fan poster for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness unites Tom Cruise's Iron Man and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man. The upcoming Doctor Strange sequel arrives on May 6 after experiencing many delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The film is set to focus on the chaos that resulted from Doctor Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) tampered spell in Spider-Man: No Way Home that accidentally unleashed the multiverse upon their world.
This introduction of the multiverse has opened the door for a plethora of new characters, as well as familiar ones with newer faces, to make an appearance alongside Doctor Strange returners. Wong (Benedict Wong), Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), and Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) will all be coming back to the screen for the sequel. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) will also join the Doctor Strange ensemble as the Scarlet Witch, following her tumultuous experience in Disney+'s WandaVision series. In terms of brand new faces, the multiverse traveler America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) will be making her debut. Doctor Strange will also be coming face-to-face with variants of himself, such as Defender Strange, Strange Supreme from Marvel's What If...?, and the Sacred Timeline's Doctor Strange. New trailers and television spots continue to reveal an epic ensemble as the movie's release comes closer.
Now, a fan-made poster by pabloruizzx on Instagram has brought a few other popular fan ideas into the mix. It features Cruise as an Iron Man variant in the front and center, with Maguire's Spider-Man on his left and Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau as a Captain Marvel variant on his right. There are two other characters standing behind Iron Man, but they can't be fully seen, which makes for even more interesting depth in the poster. The art has brought several fan theories to life with the portrayal of these characters altogether in this film. See the full epic poster below:

Maguire has already made his first Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home and has expressed enthusiasm at the idea of continuing to portray his infamous version of Peter Parker. While none of the characters nor actors who appear in this poster have been confirmed for Doctor Strange 2, viewers have been using moments from recent trailers and TV spots to theorize some of these characters and more making an appearance. One exciting character appearance will be Patrick Stewart's Professor X, a character who has long since been expected to appear in the film. The closer the release date of the film comes, the more theories that come forth—and with a focus on the "madness" of the multiverse, there's no limit as to what is and isn't possible.
Still, most appearances of characters in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness from all across Marvel movies, series, and comics are just speculation at this point. As more confirmations roll in from new footage in trailers, more hype arises for the already highly anticipated film. The sequel is one of the first of many Phase 4 Marvel films to debut, along with No Way Home, and will hopefully meet the audience's high expectations. The endless possibilities that come with the opening of the multiverse has started to make an exciting turn in the stories of Marvel's universe, and character theories such as this in the fan-made poster seem to be more in reach than ever before.
