Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, assessed the possibility of compulsory vaccination against coronavirus. She told about this on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24”.
“This is a very controversial issue today. I will not say for sure. Vaccination is compulsory in many countries. This is not the case here … I would make vaccination mandatory if there was such an opportunity, ”she said.
Rakova stressed that she would not like to introduce mandatory vaccination of all drugs. She suggested that vaccines against COVID-19 may not be mandatory, but there are other diseases that carry “colossal risks.”
Earlier, the deputy mayor said that more than 700 thousand people were vaccinated against coronavirus in Moscow. Rakova noted that vaccination in the capital is going “very well”. According to her, from 10 to 15 thousand people are vaccinated daily in Moscow.
Mass vaccination against coronavirus started on January 18 on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. At the end of January, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that in Moscow about 500 thousand people signed up for vaccination against coronavirus.
